Putting an end to Human Trafficking in Staffordshire.
Voice of Hope is a registered charity that is taking a stand against the atrocious crime of human trafficking and modern day slavery.
Slavery is one of the fastest growing crimes our world faces today.
Human trafficking is the illegal movement of people for the purposes of sex exploitation, forced labour, domestic servitude, benefit fraud, begging and cannabis cultivation and more.
According to The Global Slavery Index, there are estimated to be 45.8 million men, women and children in our world currently living in slavery. Every 15 seconds, someone becomes a victim of modern-day slavery, the average age of a trafficked victim is just 12 years of age.
Millions of men, women and children of all ages are living in constant fear and are going through unimaginable abuse in our world today, treated as commodities and exploited for profit.
It is one of the world’s fastest growing criminal industries, existing everywhere including our own city.
In the UK the scale of this hidden crime is significant. Research carried out by the Home Office estimate that there were between 10,000 –13,000 victims of modern slavery within the UK.
Voice of Hope exists to see an end to human trafficking. We invite you to get involved. You can join us by learning more about this social atrocity at one of our awareness/training courses or by attending one of our abolition evenings.
Lets work together to keep our city safe.
